Ron Soliman is a Delaware-based photographer specializing in documentary photography. With 12 years of experience as a newspaper photographer and a photography director, Ron has earned awards from the National Press Photographers Association, Press Photographers Association of Greater Los Angeles, and other journalism organizations for his photography.


Switching gear from the newspaper world, Ron has found his passion in documenting weddings around the world everywhere his camera takes him. He loves what he does and it shows on the energy he brings into every wedding he covers. Ron was ranked as the Top 16 wedding photojournalist in the World by Wedding Photojournalism Association. He also has received awards for his recent works from the Wedding & Portrait Photographers International Association.


Ron's works have been published at TIMES magazine, American Photo Magazine, Destination Weddings and Honeymoons magazine, Seattle Times, Los Angeles Times, Sports Illustrated, USA Today, etc.

When it’s not wedding season, I try my best to free up my schedule to be able to photograph and document the transition of my valued clients from being a bride to their journey to motherhood. I want to share with you some images I shot recently of Elda and Mike, whose wedding I shot a couple of years ago. I am very excited for them as they prepare themselves to welcome their first child, Baby Gabriel, into the world!

Celebrating the New Year with a Bang! – Venice, Italy Bridal Shoot Showcase

I have to say we were so blessed with a good year in 2011. I want to thank all our clients who believed in our talents and trusted us in documenting their wedding day in 2011. It was a pretty hectic year with a lot of challenges but all those challenges have helped me grow as a photographer and as a person.

And as I celebrate the coming of this New Year, I want to share some of my favorite images that I shot while working on a personal project in Venice, Italy this year. Shooting in Venice is like a dream come true for a photographer. It’s a picture perfect venue for any amazing photo shoot…no wonder it became the film location for plenty of Hollywood movies, such as The Tourist, starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, or the Italian Job, starring Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron, Jason Statham (click on the title to see the trailers).

The Piazza San Marco is the perfect location for a bridal shoot in Venice, Italy. Aside from the amazing architecture surrounding the square, the light that falls into the square during sunrise makes this place a favorite for photographers.

Check out some of these images as we played around Piazza San Marco in Venice. A popular film location for plenty of Hollywood movies such as The Tourist, starring Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp, or the Italian Job, starring Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron, Jason Statham (click on the title to see the trailers).

Got to incorporate the mask from the Masquerade Ball of the Venetian Carnival.

And love the hotel where we stayed…got to shoot some pictures in there too. Ca’ Pagan is really amazing inside. Thanks to the owners of Ca’ Pagan and to the staff  for making our stay unforgettable. And special thanks to Lily for being so patient and always staying so gorgeous…you are a perfect Venetian bride.

…they are tying the knot at St. Thomas of Villanova Catholic Church today and will party through the night at The Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia. Though our last wedding of 2011, we are so thrilled to end the wedding season with a fun and a gorgeous couple. Congrats Laura and Mike!

FALL WEDDINGS ARE HERE…

We started with Matt and Lauren’s wedding last weekend at The Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit. Love shooting fall weddings not only because of the gorgeous weather, but also because of the colors. Check out some of these teasers form their wedding…
