Thanks to Vinnie and Rohit for letting me document their Hindu and Sikh wedding. Photographing this couple’s whole three-day wedding event in Wilmington, DE and in Cambridge, MD, was one of the best experiences I had in my wedding photography career. Everyone was super nice and they all treated me and my wife Bless just like their own family. Here are some of my favorite images from their wedding. It’s so easy to put more than a hundred here because their wedding was so colorful, but I did my best to edit dit own to few images…enjoy!

My coverage started with the Sangeet ceremony taken at the Doubletree Hotel in Wilmington, DE few nights before the ceremony. As the name suggests, Sangeet is all about dance and music. It is one of the most enjoyable ceremonies before the wedding and is exclusively for women.

Cheap Wedding Photographer

“You get what you pay for” is so true when it comes to wedding photography. There’s a reason why other photographers will charge more. Make sure you get yourself familiarized with your wedding photographer’s equipments, style, and even personality before you hire them. It really counts when you have a talented photographer with a great personality. Always remember that you are entrusting the most memorable moments of your lifetime to that person (your photographer).

Katerina + Mike = “Romanzo” : Engagement shoot in Plaka, Athens, Greece

Katerina and Mike made my Greece experience more memorable. The whole photo shoot became a tour of Plaka, the most attractive district of Acropolis. Thanks to Athens photographer Stefanos, who was very helpful showing me around this amazing place!

Here’s a little something about this historic place-

“Pláka is the picturesque old historical neighbourhood of Athens, clustered around the northern and eastern slopes of the Acropolis, and incorporating labyrinthine streets and neoclassical architecture. Plaka is built on top of the residential areas of the ancient town of Athens. During the early modern age (XVth century) and until the early 20th century Plaka was inhabited by an Arvanite community. Apparently the name stems from Arvanitika “Pliak Athena”, meaning “Old Athens”. Plaka is the Athens that became capital of Greece in 1834. It is visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists around the year, and is under strict zoning and conservation regulations, being the only neighborhood in Athens where all utilities (water, power, cable television, telephone, internet, and sewage) lie underground in fully accessible, custom-made tunnelling. Motor vehicles are not allowed in Plaka, and most streets are too narrow, thus not being able to accommodate them anyway.

The contrast of the different colors of Plaka made this whole location a perfect spot for any photo shoot for couples. The Greeks are so lucky to have this amazing backdrop in their neighborhood….

Walking around the area, we stumbled upon this old art gallery, which has been closed for many years now.

As soon as you start walking around Plaka’s stone-paved, narrow streets, you will have the feeling that you are travelling back in time.

Stefania + Peter = “Amore!” – Central Park, New York, NY

My wife and I spent the best Valentines Day this year with a loving couple – Stefania and Peter, who actually got engaged on Valentines Day last year in Central Park in New York City. Stefania and Peter are from the PA area but they will be wed in May 2011 in Long Island, NY. Here are some of my favorites from their Valentines Day engagement shoot. Enjoy!

ISPWP Wedding Photography Contest Winner for Winter 2009

I am so happy to announce that two of my images placed in this prestigious photography competition  run by The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP). The best part is – this is the first time I entered this competition and winning two images is an amazing experience! I became a member of this organization recently and being part of this EXCLUSIVE group of creative and talented professionals is something I am very proud of.

Below is a little something about ISPWP:

What is the ISPWP?
The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers is an organization of the best wedding photographers in the world. It was created by professional photographers to raise the standards of the wedding photography profession.
We are a resource for wedding clients who know they want to hire the best and the brightest for their wedding. We provide assurance and peace of mind that they are hiring the most respected, most ethical, most professional and most talented wedding photographers in the industry.
It’s no secret there are many online directories of wedding photographers. Some of them have hundreds, even thousands of photographers. That SOUNDS great because there are so many to choose from! But most of these directories have little or no criteria for membership, they are simply link farms that oftentimes include photographers with zero experience and unknown backgrounds.
When you hire an ISPWP member, you can be sure they have passed a rigorous application process and are recognized by their peers to be at the top of their field.

SANTORINI, GREECE : BEST WEDDING DESTINATION

After the shoot in Athens, Greece, we travelled to the islands of Santorini. Santorini is a small, circular archipelago of volcanic islands located in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 km (120 mi) southeast from Greece’s mainland.

The whole area was amazing, and the views from our hotel room (VIP Suites) and in every angle you look is breathtaking! The only thing missing in these “picture-perfect” views is a bride! I would say, this is one of the world’s best place to get married, if you want to have “picture-perfect” wedding.

Check out the images I’ve taken while visiting Santorini.

SANTORINI FOR BLOG 2

People in Santorini are also super nice! Being a small village, people are very hospitable and welcoming. Our hotel manager Carmen Rusu is the best! Not only she upgraded us to a bigger room when we arrived…she brings us coffee every morning during our stay. She also introduced us to an amazing wedding planner in Santorini – Liza Tilley of Wedding Designs. We look forward to work with her in the future for many destination weddings to Santorini.

And It has been decided! We are adding Santorini, Greece to one of most favorite destination weddings. I will be available for wedding photography in Santorini, Greece beginning 2010.

And if you want to find the best deal on airfares, make sure you check out the BEST TRAVEL AGENT out there – Loretta from www.1stoptravel.com. She always finds ways to get us the best deals on airfares. Thanks Loretta for all your help! Till the next trip…. =)

Michelle Streifthau - Your pictures truly capture the island's beauty and brought a smile to our faces as we thought about our engagement trip. The water and colors are as vibrant as they are!March 1, 2010 - 1:33 am

Bridal Shoot in Athens, Greece

I was lucky enough to have found something to do while in Athens, Greece. Heheheh. I did a Bridal photo shoot in the The Ancient City of Athens: Acropolis.

Shot this with only one strobe using the Canon 580 EX II with my Pocket Wizards remote lighting. We shot on top of the Areopagus Hill, with the Ancient Acropolis in the background. The hills of Areopagus is where Apostle Paul delivered his famous speech about the identity of “the Unknown God.”

ACROPOLIS BRIDAL SHOOT 1

Here’s me in action on the hills of Areopagus!

RON IN ACTION GREECE

The biggest challenge in this shoot was that it’s completely pitch dark, so I was using my iPhone to illuminate the face of my subject so I can focus.

ACROPOLIS BRIDAL SHOOT 2

Here’s a photo of The Hills of Areopagus during the day. I shot the bridal photos on this page from the cliff on the right side.

And if you look closely on the surface of the rocks, they are pretty slippery. So one wrong move, you fall hundreds of feet down! Being extra careful is a BIG skill you need during this shoot.
