Stevie and Sachin’s Indian Wedding at the Philadelphia Marriot Downtown

I am just so pumped up to share some of these images from last Saturday’s wedding unique Indian wedding in Philadelphia. It was a whole 14 hour shoot, but did not feel tired at all because of the energy of this bride and groom. Congrats to Stevie and Sachin! I wish you guys all the best in your marriage…

Sachin on his way to meet his bride during the “Baraat”, a part of the traditional Indian wedding ceremony where the groom rides a horse (or sometimes an elephant) and do a procession with his family members to meet the bride and her family before they tie the knot.

With full of energy, the groom’s family sing and dance as they do a procession to meet the bride’s family. Great job

Bride’s mom reacts seeing her daughter walk down the aisle….

Stevie is such a gorgeous bride!

Did not know this was coming…as the bride and groom walk down the aisle after the ceremony, we were fired upon with party poppers. It was all over my camera lens but made a cool effect…LOL

Just having so much fun with the bridal party!

Love those henna on Stevie’s hands…not to mention contrasting with her gorgeous eyes!

Shooting this in broad daylight with slow shutter speed at Rittenhouse Square Park is not that easy….nailed it!

Stevie and Sachin met for the first time in their tradional American wedding outfit.

Perfect timing that day…not a single soul at the Philadelphia Art Museum except this gorgeous bridal party!

And party was non-stop till midnight at the beautiful Philadelphia Marriot Downtown’s ballroom. Here’s a shot of their romantic first dance.

So grateful to be part of this amazing day of Stevie and Sachin…thanks for treating us just like one of your family members. We had a blast!

Congratulations to Neeta and Aman! Hindu and Sikh wedding at Chase Center

It’s going to be a long day today for a Hindu and Sikh wedding, but I am very excited to document this day for Neeta and Aman for Indian weddings are one of my favorites. There’s so much color and so much culture in these celebrations. And it even makes it more exciting knowing that this couple are so much fun to be with. Just check out the engagement session I did for them at Princeton University. We had so much fun!

Love this shot of Neeta’s ring on top of this yellow flower.

Fashionable!

Princeton University has the best architecture!

How fun it is to end the shoot with a splash… ;)

Thanks to Vinnie and Rohit for letting me document their Hindu and Sikh wedding. Photographing this couple’s whole three-day wedding event in Wilmington, DE and in Cambridge, MD, was one of the best experiences I had in my wedding photography career. Everyone was super nice and they all treated me and my wife Bless just like their own family. Here are some of my favorite images from their wedding. It’s so easy to put more than a hundred here because their wedding was so colorful, but I did my best to edit dit own to few images…enjoy!

My coverage started with the Sangeet ceremony taken at the Doubletree Hotel in Wilmington, DE few nights before the ceremony. As the name suggests, Sangeet is all about dance and music. It is one of the most enjoyable ceremonies before the wedding and is exclusively for women.

What a gorgeous bride Vinnie was that day…

The couple chose the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina in Cambridge, MD for the ceremony and reception because the hotel can easily accommodate more than 500 guests in their ballrooms.

The ceremony was very solemn…

Saquan Stimpson - Congrats Ron!!!!January 29, 2012 - 2:17 am

Congrats to Shannon and Rohan! – Antrim 1844 Wedding

I met Shannon for the first time when she came down to Delaware as an applicant for our photojournalism internship at The News Journal, where I worked as the Director of Photography. Her worked is remarkable as a photographer and I hired her as an intern. Since then, I became a mentor to her and then a friend. Shannon moved on after her internship at The News Journal and landed a job in Maryland as a video journalist. Knowing Shannon’s talents, I knew that she will do great out there.

Few months ago, I was very thrilled when Shannon called me and asked me to document her wedding day at The Antrim 1844 in Taneytown, MD. Shannon is marrying her long time boyfriend Rohan. These two love birds are perfect for each other!  And I am happy to be able to be part of their special day. Check their engagement photos, which we shot in the town they love – Annapolis, Maryland. We shot around the artistic downtown Annapolis and inside the famous U.S. Naval Academy. Kudos to Shannon and Rohan for braving the 20 degree weather during this shoot. =)

It’s going to be an awesome wedding day on Friday at The Antrim 1844 in Taneytown, MD.  And I wish Shannon and Rohan a happy marriage!
