RON SOLIMAN of BEAR, DE, has received special honors in the WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHERS INTERNATIONAL (WPPI) 2010 Awards of Excellence 16×20 Print Competition. Designed to recognize outstanding photographers, the judging was held in Las Vegas, NV on March 6 and 7, 2010.

“PASTOR COVERS BRIDE” & “GROOM LIGHTS A CIGAR” each received an Accolade of Excellence in the Wedding Details category.

SOLIMAN competed against an international field of photographers to win such honors.

The Awards of Excellence 16×20 Print Competition awards are presented each year at the largest trade show, educational platform and convention in the United States for professional photographers. The 2010 competition included 3388 prints in 18 different categories submitted by photographers from all over the world.

I am proud to announce that one of my images from Vinnie and Rohit’s Indian Wedding was published by Delaware Bride Magazine for their Spring and Summer 2010 issue.

The issue had its debut at its 20th Annual Upstate Bridal Show on February 28, 2010, where we also exhibited our work together with talented Delaware Videographer Melissa Constantino of PeaPatch Video.

I am so happy to announce that two of my images placed in this prestigious photography competition  run by The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers (ISPWP). The best part is – this is the first time I entered this competition and winning two images is an amazing experience! I became a member of this organization recently and being part of this EXCLUSIVE group of creative and talented professionals is something I am very proud of.

What is the ISPWP?

The International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers is an organization of the best wedding photographers in the world. It was created by professional photographers to raise the standards of the wedding photography profession.

We are a resource for wedding clients who know they want to hire the best and the brightest for their wedding. We provide assurance and peace of mind that they are hiring the most respected, most ethical, most professional and most talented wedding photographers in the industry.

It’s no secret there are many online directories of wedding photographers. Some of them have hundreds, even thousands of photographers. That SOUNDS great because there are so many to choose from! But most of these directories have little or no criteria for membership, they are simply link farms that oftentimes include photographers with zero experience and unknown backgrounds.

Due to popular demand, I have added another gallery into our website showing our works from some of the Destination Weddings we shot in the past year. We had a blast shooting in Aruba and Dominican Republic last year and we are looking forward to our trip to Greece, Hawaii, Mexico, Philippines and possibly Italy for 2010.
