At my day job at the newspaper, I am so proud to share with you the best images of 2008 from my photography staff. I have a great staff there and I can’t complain. The image below is from my shot when the Pope came to the US. Enjoy this slideshow from www.delawareonline.com!

When I went to cover US Vice president-elect Joe Biden feeding the homeless in Wilmington on Christmas Eve, I brought with me just one camera- my Canon 5D Mark II. Just like any digital photojournalist I tried to do both- shoot stills and video. The 5D Mark II made it easier to do both, especially with the limited time that the Secret Service gave us to take pictures inside. What’s amazing is, you can shoot stills while your are video recording. Check out this short clip, shot using also a 70-200 mm and a 16-35 mm lenses.
I’ve been testing my new Canon 5D Mark II in my newspaper job and also at my wedding photography gigs. The results are phenomenal! Not only the white balance is perfect but the video quality is real HD quality. While doing Brianne and Michael’s wedding photography I tried out shooting some video with my new Canon 5D Mark II.
This camera can shoot video and stills at the same time!!! It is the answer to my PRAYERS! =)
Check our this short clip. Not bad in a low lighting situation. You can watch the HD quality on Vimeo if you want. Also check out the still photo I shot while doing this video.
Tonight, the results for the Wedding Photojournalist Association Quarterly competition were released. I am happy to announce that I’ve got 4 wins in the competition. And wow, it brought my name to the TOP 10 photographers in this International Photojournalists organization. Thanks to all my brides, who gave me the opportunity to document their wedding.
I will be posting some of my favorite photos from the Fall Weddings I’ve shot in the past few weeks. Enjoy!
Here are some from Andrea and Jason’s Wedding in Wilmington, DE. Their wedding ceremony was at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Wilmington and we did the bridal party shoot at Rockford Park. The colors of the leaves were perfect for the photo shoot!
