To celebrate our first same-sex wedding, I would like to congratulate the newly weds from Sunday – Anna and Sharda, by posting some images from the same day edit that we showed during the reception. The LIVE slideshow by the way was a BIG HIT! Thanks to all the guests who appreciated it.
Got to say that we had so much fun documenting Anna and Sharda’s wedding at the Liberty House Restaurant. Not to mention the surprises everyone got at the reception. You can find out what happened from these images below.
Photographing two wedding dresses at the same time is pretty tough…but getting the right image is an awesome feeling!
An emotional moment between Anna and her mom, especially after remembering Anna’s father, who passed away very recently. He was remembered during the wedding ceremony by lighting a candle. The wind that was blowing during their ceremony was an indication that Anna’s dad was present during her wedding day.
Love their invitation….oh did you notice the Cartier wedding bands in this picture? LOL
Love the blue sky! What a perfect day for a wedding.
Happy newly weds…
Shooting at the Liberty State Park on a gorgeous day like yesterday was a treat for any photographer. Especially if you have two brides full of energy. Love the city line of New York in the background.
During the reception, a fireworks display surprised everyone. The fireworks display was actually for Buddy Valastro, star of the TLC reality series “Cake Boss,” and his lovely wife Lisa who were dining at the restaurant. And few minutes after the display ended…another surprise came…
….a grand entrance by the Cake Boss himself, with his wife Lisa!
And of course got to get a souvenir picture of the newly weds with the Cake Boss, Lisa and the drag queen dancers, including a Beyonce impersonator.
The evening was perfect for a romantic evening reception at The Liberty House restaurant. An awesome place for a wedding reception. Special thanks to the staff of Liberty House Restaurant for treating us well! And thanks to Lyna and her team of Kasal NY for helping us out throughout the day. And it was also a pleasure to work with Meghan from Hello Super 8, can’t wait to see the film they did. She’s quite an artist!
