Our three day wedding marathon starts today…with Adrienne and Justin’s elegant wedding at the One Atlanitc in Atlantic City.
I actually first met Adrienne through Facetime back in 2012 during our initial consultation. After that, we know that we are going to be documenting their wedding at the amazing One Atlantic in Atlantic City, NJ. Few days before their wedding today and on our wedding anniversary, we did a last minute engagement session near their venue, which is inside the Pier Shops Caesars in AC. We had a blast celebrating part of our 9th year anniversary with this wonderful couple. And I am so fired up to be documenting their BIG day today.
Check out these images from their shoot..
Can’t go wrong with a diamond ring surrounded with blue sapphire..
Got to do this shoot with Justin and his groomsmen. Justin coaches the Drexel Dragons Men’s Hockey Team and as a gift, he gave jerseys to all his groomsmen…so cool!
Congrats to Adrienne and Justin…looking forward for your big day today!
I was first introduced to Michelle and Robert through two of our previous brides. The power of word of mouth again! =)
So looking forward to their wedding at The Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers in New York. It’s going to rock with this gorgeous elegant wedding venue.
Check out these images we shot form their engagement session at Central Park and around New York.
Gorgeous ring…not to mention that expensive champagne…
And a gorgeous view form their New York apartment overlooking Manhattan.
We had a blast shooting the wedding of Carol and Brian last week at our favorite wedding destination – The Island of Aruba. It was a pleasure documenting the wedding of one of the coolest couples out there. Carol and Brian, thanks for treating us like your own family during your wedding week. From the snorkling trip to the wedding day, you and your family and friends became so close to us. We will never forget you guys…check out these images from their wedding day at the THE MANCHEBO BEACH RESORT & SPA.
Carol’s wedding dress sparkling under the Caribbean sun.
Gorgeous bride on her wedding day…
Love this shell stuffed with white rose petals that the flower girl is carrying…
Carol is escorted down the aisle by her two sons…
The sunset hour makes a good background light during the wedding ceremony at THE MANCHEBO BEACH RESORT & SPA.
Fun bridal party against the Aruban sunset…
And who could not resist going back to my favorite ”trash the dress” locations…first I took them to the famous Quadiriki Caves located in ARIKOK NATIONAL PARK in Aruba. Many locals believe that these bat caves used to be a place for pirates to hide their treasures.
And in honor of Shark Month here’s a little fun, photographer Edwin Ochoa and I put together, all in the name of fun in photography…
Happy Anniversary to one of my most favorite couple! We miss everything about your Hawaii wedding!
Bride and Groom: Carelle Jade and Nelson. I was introduced to Carelle Jade by one of our previous client. When we met with Carelle Jade and Nelson, and her mother Eleanor, we all immediately clicked. We were so excited about their ideas, most especially their plan on fulfilling their dream wedding in Maui, Hawaii.
Ceremony and Reception: White Orchid Wedding Beach House, Makena, Maui, Hawaii. Nothing can beat this place for wedding location. The ceremony and reception are held next to the beach and the magnificent view of the sunset is just amazing! The black volcanic rocks blocking the giant waves near the beach house gives you a spectacular viewing experience of the beach in Maui. And of course, It’s a perfect background for any wedding shoot.
Event Planner: White Orchid Weddings. The wedding coordinators that day, Jacqueline Uilani Ishikawa and Linda Santos, were one of the best I’ve ever seen. They are so accommodating and very good in what they do. They turned the beach house into a very romantic and elegant-looking wedding venue. Kudo to you guys for making Carelle Jade and Nelson’s wedding the best!
Spa: Trudy’s Fountain of Youth. The girls went for an amazing massage and spa, the day before the wedding. Trudy’s staff are pretty amazing and very professional!
Video: Derek of Lavon Films. I introduced Derek to the bride and groom during our engagement shoot in NYC, and they got to like him. Derek is very talented videographer with a cinematography style. He also have the “photojournalistic” style that I have that’s why I love
CHECK OUT THE PHOTOS from the day…more to come in a few weeks. You will find them at www.pictage.com
To welcome their guests, Carelle Jade and Nelson, treated everyone to a Luau dinner in the Lahaina area in Maui, Hawaii. Here’s a little something about Luau:
Before the Luau started, the k?lua pig, was dug up from the Imu (an underground oven). This way of cooking dates back from the ancient Hawaiians:
Traditionally, extremely hot volcanic (lava) rocks were placed in a hole approximately 6′ by 4′ by 3′ and the hole was lined with vegetation such as banana leaves. A salted pig was placed inside and covered with more banana leaves to preserve theheat and flavor. Then, it was covered with burlap and soil, and left to steam all day. Once removed from the imu, the pig was ready to be served.
And ofcourse, the highlight of the Luau – the gorgeous hula dancers…LOL
On the wedding day, I found some spots around the hotel that shows the beauty of Maui, while shooting detail shots for the wedding – a small waterfalls at the Makena Beach and Golf Resort.
Tatay and Nanay, escort Carelle Jade as she walks down the aisle. Tatay and Nanay (dad and mom in Filipino) are Carelle jade’s grandparents, who have a big role in raising her before she migrated to the US to join her mother when she was nine years-old.
Tatay cannot control his tears as he witnesses his baby get married.
One of the most fun wedding group I ever photographed!
Gorgeous sunset and strong winds on the beach helped create this amazing image of the bride and groom.
And the following day….we trashed the dress!…it’s actually her reception dress. =)
Getting married in Maui was a dream come true to this couple. And I thank them for choosing me to document their special day.
Rain or shine today, Jennifer and Brandon will be tying the knot at St. Patricks Church today then the party continues at The Park Savoy in Florham Park, New Jersey. It’s nice to be back here…we love this place. We shot Jacqueline’s wedding here back in December and it was a gorgeous venue!
We photographed Jennifer and Brandon’s engagement session at the Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden on Staten Island few months ago and this shot from the Chinese Garden is one of my favorites.
Jennifer and Brandon, wishing you guys all the best in your marriage!
I am just so pumped up to share some of these images from last Saturday’s wedding unique Indian wedding in Philadelphia. It was a whole 14 hour shoot, but did not feel tired at all because of the energy of this bride and groom. Congrats to Stevie and Sachin! I wish you guys all the best in your marriage…
Sachin on his way to meet his bride during the “Baraat”, a part of the traditional Indian wedding ceremony where the groom rides a horse (or sometimes an elephant) and do a procession with his family members to meet the bride and her family before they tie the knot.
With full of energy, the groom’s family sing and dance as they do a procession to meet the bride’s family. Great job
Bride’s mom reacts seeing her daughter walk down the aisle….
Stevie is such a gorgeous bride!
Did not know this was coming…as the bride and groom walk down the aisle after the ceremony, we were fired upon with party poppers. It was all over my camera lens but made a cool effect…LOL
Just having so much fun with the bridal party!
Love those henna on Stevie’s hands…not to mention contrasting with her gorgeous eyes!
Shooting this in broad daylight with slow shutter speed at Rittenhouse Square Park is not that easy….nailed it!
Stevie and Sachin met for the first time in their tradional American wedding outfit.
Perfect timing that day…not a single soul at the Philadelphia Art Museum except this gorgeous bridal party!
And party was non-stop till midnight at the beautiful Philadelphia Marriot Downtown’s ballroom. Here’s a shot of their romantic first dance.
So grateful to be part of this amazing day of Stevie and Sachin…thanks for treating us just like one of your family members. We had a blast!
We are so excited for today’s wedding of Stevie and Sachin. They are going to have a very unique combination of Hindu/Christian ceremony at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia. Then the dancing and celebration follows at the Philadelphia Marriot Downtown. As always, this Indian wedding is going to be full of energy, color, and culture! Thanks Stevie and Sachin for letting me document your special day!
