Bride and Groom- Erica and John

Ceremony and Reception- Golden Inn Hotel and Resort in Avalon, New Jersey.

I’ve shot here before and this place is amazing! Staff is very accommodating.

From time to time, I get requests like these. Erica, the bride, wanted to emulate a picture of her deceased mother’s bridal picture. For her this is a very emotional moment and I did my best to emulate it. Erica, your mother is for sure smiling down on you from heaven seeing this picture. Thanks for giving me the honor to photograph this.

The heat was in the high 90s during the ceremony…but the beautiful bride kept John focused.

Congrats Erica and John…I will continue to pray for you and your happy marriage!

…who will be getting married on Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church in Flushing, New York and will party afterwards at the La Dolce Vita – Leonard’s in Long Island. So excited to document this couple’s wedding. The ceremony will be rich in traditional Filipino wedding rituals.

So excited to shoot Mary’s wedding this Saturday. It’s going to be a “platinum wedding” at the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia.

Mary and Joe are an exemplary couple! Love working with them through out their wedding planning process. Their engagement session was a blast. I took them to Longwood Gardens and even Joe got that GQ moves at the end. LOL

…they are tying the knot at The Villa in Mountain Lakes in New Jersey on Friday. Can’t wait to document the wedding of this cute couple, whose engagement session I did in Central Park and Times Square in New York. It’s going to be a nice day on their wedding day! Thank God for a great weather!

Bride and Groom - Michele and Josh

One of the most fun couple I’ve ever worked with. Michele is full of life and despite the rain on her wedding day, all you can see in her face is her lovely smile. The couple met while Michele was attending Villanova University and Josh was attending St. Joseph University – two rival schools. Though both of their schools often get into a “holy war”, this couple found love with each other. Congrats to both Michele and Josh, and I wish you guys the best in your relationship!

Ceremony- St. Thomas of Villanova, Villanova, PA

Love the architecture of this church. Thanks to Father Dan Joyce, SJ and Father Francis Devlin, OSJ – both friends of their families, for being so accommodating during the ceremony.

Reception- Ballroom at The Ben, Philadelphia, PA

Amazing place for weddings! The staff is super nice and food prepared by Finley Catering is absolutely superb. Great job guys! But most of all the place is just a picture perfect place for an elegant wedding party!

Gorgeous bride getting ready for her big day…

It rained that whole morning, and I kept praying it will stop so we can have some outdoor photos at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. And my prayers were answered! Yay!

Despite the rain on her wedding day, Michele is still a happy bride…

While at the Art Museum, got to shoot at the Rocky Statue….one of the many the symbols of the city of Philadelphia.

The Ballroom at The Ben in Philadelphia, PA is one of the best picture-perfect reception venue in the city for an elegant wedding. I had so much fun photographing this place during Michele’s wedding.

…who will be tying the knot this Saturday at Saint Joan of Arc Church in Marlton, NJ. Then a reception will follow at the Adventure Aquarium in Camden, New Jersey. It will be a fun wedding, and fun to shoot! Love the idea of the sharks roaming around tank above the guests during the reception. Yummy! I mean yummy food for the guests…I heard they serve really good food there. LOL

I did their engagement session in their neighborhood in Marlton, NJ last fall. We were joined by their sweet dog during the shoot. We also went to the Grounds for Sculpture in Hamilton, NJ. This place is amazing for engagement session! Lots of areas to shoot beautiful backgrounds, especially during the fall. Here’s a little something about the area from their website:

“Grounds For Sculpture is a 35-acre public sculpture park located in Hamilton, NJ. It was founded in 1992 on the site of the former New Jersey State Fairgrounds by J. Seward Johnson to promote an understanding of and appreciation for contemporary sculpture for all people. Visitors to the park can enjoy the outdoor permanent collection, indoor seasonal exhibitions, and learn about contemporary sculpture through a variety of educational programs including workshops for adults and children, artist residencies and lectures, tours for adults, schoolchildren, toddlers, as well as touch tours for the blind. In addition, the park also offers various events, a 35-acre arboretum, shopping and dining, including the high-rated fine dining destination known as Rat’s Restaurant. In 2007, over 100,000 people visited Grounds For Sculpture.”

…who will be getting married this Friday at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, NJ. The reception will follow at the gorgeous Pleasantdale Château in West Orange, which is a very popular location for some Hollywood films like The Hoax and Cadillac Records, and TV’s Law & Order and HBO’s The Sopranos.

Here are some images from their engagement session in New York City. Eliza and Ramon’s love for each other is very inspiring…I wish them a blessed marriage and a successful relationship!

The venue for their wedding ceremony is one of the most amazing churches in the United States – Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, NJ. We shot here before the storm came that evening, so we got lucky with the clouds in the background.

While looking for cherry blossoms at a park near Eliza’s New Jersey home, we stumbled upon this cool location to do some “GQ posing” for Ramon and of course some “America’s Top model posing” for Eliza…LOL

Had lots of fun in Times Square. Ofocurse, can’t resist to re-enact the proposal, which according to Eliza, Ramon actually forgot to kneel on one knee due to nervousness when he did the actual proposal last year. Hey, not bad for a second time around…heheheh

And we ended our five-hour engagement shoot (longest I’ve ever done…heheheh) at the Brooklyn Promenade, overlooking the Manhattan Skyline. This couple is awesome and I did not mind going overtime…as long as they get the best photos out there. We had a blast!

So excited to be part of Erica and Joseph’s special day on Saturday. They  will tie the knot at Christ The King Church in Haddonfield, NJ and will party at Trust Venue in Philadelphia.

My prayers for good weather are answered, it looks like the sun will be out tomorrow. Yay!

RON SOLIMAN of BEAR, DE, has received special honors in the WEDDING & PORTRAIT PHOTOGRAPHERS INTERNATIONAL (WPPI) 2010 Awards of Excellence 16×20 Print Competition. Designed to recognize outstanding photographers, the judging was held in Las Vegas, NV on March 6 and 7, 2010.

“PASTOR COVERS BRIDE” & “GROOM LIGHTS A CIGAR” each received an Accolade of Excellence in the Wedding Details category.

SOLIMAN competed against an international field of photographers to win such honors.

The Awards of Excellence 16×20 Print Competition awards are presented each year at the largest trade show, educational platform and convention in the United States for professional photographers. The 2010 competition included 3388 prints in 18 different categories submitted by photographers from all over the world.
