After Eliza and Ramon’s wedding in New Jersey, we headed back to Philadelphia for Tien and Chris’ multicultural wedding. Their wedding was a mix of Filipino and Vietnamese traditions.
Here’s one of my favorites from their wedding…
…and enjoy the rest of these images posted the day after their wedding.
Bride and Groom: Tien and Chris
Ceremony: St. Alice Catholic Church, Upper Darby, PA
Reception: Saigon Maxim Restaurant in Philadelphia, PA
I remember photographing this couple during a Filipino Christmas party in Delaware about three years ago. I noticed how they are so much in love with each other so I snapped a couple of pictures of them on the dance floor. Little that I know that I will be part of their special day three years later. This wedding was not only a marriage of two loving couple, but a marriage of two cultures – Vietnamese and Filipino.
With Tien’s Vietnamese background, a Vietnamese Tea ceremony was held at their residence in Lansdowne, PA to honor their ancestors .
A Catholic mass followed at St. Alice Catholic Church in Upper Darby, PA
Then the fun with the bridal party began after we left the church and stopped by the Philadelphia Museum of Art, a favorite spot for wedding photographers. And just like the bride and groom, everyone in the bridal party has full of energy! Can you tell?
And while we were shooting at the steps of the Art museum, guess who decided to show up – Captain Morgan!…and his entourage. So Chris got to try his Captain Morgan pose.
Let me leave you with this lovely shot of the newly wed Tien and Chris.
